THE WILD CLASSICAL MUSIC ENSEMBLE (BE)

In 2015, The Drone said that the WILD CLASSICAL MUSIC ENSEMBLE was ‘the best post-punk band of active disabled people’. And it’s true. At the beginning, it was a project created in November 2007 by drummer and sound designer Damien Magnette (Zoft, Facteur Cheval), who wanted to launch an experimental music project with mentally disabled people. During an enriching fine arts workshop, he noted the undeniable gift for improvisation of the participants. At first a sound experimentation workshop, things clicked for the WILD CLASSICAL MUSIC ENSEMBLE as a band when it started using Kim’s punk-rock riffs and Damien Magnette played at the drums. When Sébastien Faidherbe joined the band in 2013, the project acquired a home-made bass and an additional singer and true showman.
